Mick Castleton - Managing Director
Mick has been a part of many ventures and owned several companies within the engineering and printing industry. In 1986 he was commissioned to rebuild two of the first sheet fed Heidelberg SBD's letterpress printing machines converting them for hot foil stamping. He formed Profoil Systems Ltd in 1987 and was made Technical Director of the Blockfoil group in 1990. In 1998 Mick designed the first version of MicroPOISE and became Technical Director of SFL in 2005. Mick successfully completed a majority shareholder buyout of SFL in 2018 and alongside running the business continues to develop new products for the business. In his spare time, he is a keen squash player and enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, motorcycling, classic car ownership. skiing and all outdoor activities. |
Mark Filby - Operations Manager
Mark joined the printing industry in 1985, embarking on a range of roles from pre-press to production and quality management. In 1998 he joined a management consultancy practice for three years where he led a team of consultants delivering QA and technical standards compliance. Since 1999 Mark has developed technical partner and reseller relationships, he leads SFL’s manufacturing as well as quality and health and safety administration. Mark was a part of the industry working group representing the security print manufacturing sector in partnership with London’s Metropolitan Police to combat document and ID fraud; leading to successful law change and the Security Printing Equipment and Materials (offences) Act 2015. In his spare time Mark is a family man and enjoys hiking, classic car and motorcycle ownership. |
